KMS/modesetting problems on boot that render X unusable, perspective views screwed up in quite a few applications, low frame rates (not surprised though), Plymouth not appearing in some instances. For one thing, ATI dropped support for this card back in '08, so I have to rely on the open-source radeon driver- which is buggy in my experience. Graphics - ATI Radeon Xpress 200M - believe me, I have FAR too many problems with this card. So I have to make a boot script that unloads b44, then ssb, then ndiswrapper, and then RELOAD ndiswrapper and b44 in that specific order. The Ethernet card driver, b44 (which controls a Broadcom 4401), automatically loads ssb, which in turn automatically tries to control my wireless- which does NOT work at all :mad.
So, all I have to do is install ndiswrapper and the Windows driver, right? Wrong. Network - Broadcom BCM4328 - not supported natively by Linux, have to use ndiswrapper. I've got a Dell Vostro 1000- there are plenty of problems to go around! :)
